Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 Aug 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information ThaiCrush collects, why it is used, when it may be shared, how long it may be kept, and the choices available to you when you use the website or mobile apps.

Information you provide

We collect information you provide when you register and build a profile, such as your name, email address, date of birth, gender, country of origin, current city, photos, biography, interests, relationship goals, education, language ability, body details, children preferences, the genders you want to meet, and discovery preferences. Other signed-in members generally see your age rather than your full date of birth.

We also process messages, likes, passes, matches, favorites, saved photos, blocks, reports, support requests, and optional verification selfies. Some profile choices may be considered sensitive under applicable law. You choose whether to provide optional profile details and can edit or remove many of them. Verification selfies are not shown on your profile but may be reviewed by authorized personnel for verification, moderation, and safety.

Activity and communications

We record how you use ThaiCrush, including profiles shown to you, searches and filters, likes and passes, matches, profile visibility choices, blocks, reports, conversation metadata, messages, translations you request, notification choices, login and session activity, and actions needed to keep the service safe and working.

Device and technical information

We may collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, runtime platform, session and security identifiers, push-notification tokens, registered-device labels, crash or error context, and cookie or local-storage information. We use this information for authentication, security, delivery, diagnostics, preferences, and reliable operation across web, iOS, and Android.

Where information comes from

Most information comes directly from you or from your use of ThaiCrush. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the provider identifier and account details the provider is authorized to share, such as your name, email address, and email-verification status. Location choices use the city or country you select; ThaiCrush does not claim to verify where a member actually lives.

What other members can see

Eligible signed-in members may see the profile information and photos you choose to publish, subject to discovery, visibility, incognito, moderation, and block settings. People you match or communicate with may see messages and related conversation information. A recipient can save or copy information you share, and ThaiCrush cannot control copies already made outside the service.

Hiding your profile, pausing new connections, using incognito mode, or blocking a member changes visibility and access but does not necessarily delete stored data. Blocks and moderation restrictions are not disclosed in detail where doing so could affect another person's privacy or safety.

Why we use information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts; build and display profiles; provide discovery, matching, messaging, translation, notifications, visibility controls, verification, and support; personalize language and settings; secure the service; prevent fraud and abuse; investigate reports; enforce our Terms; maintain and improve ThaiCrush; and comply with legal obligations.

Depending on the information and applicable law, processing is based on performing our agreement with you, your consent, compliance with law, protection of vital interests, or legitimate interests such as member safety, service security, fraud prevention, support, product improvement, and establishing or defending legal claims. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it, although this does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Cookies and storage

The web app uses cookies or browser storage for login sessions, security, language, theme, and app preferences. Mobile apps may use device preferences and secure storage for authentication tokens and startup settings. Removing required storage may sign you out or prevent parts of the service from working.

When information is shared

We share information with other members as described above and with service providers that help us operate hosting, databases, authentication, email, push notifications, storage, security, diagnostics, support, and requested translations. These providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their work and are expected to protect it.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or a valid legal request, protect a person from harm, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our rights, or establish or defend legal claims. If the service or its assets are reorganized or transferred, information may be transferred subject to appropriate safeguards. ThaiCrush does not sell personal information.

International processing

ThaiCrush and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and appropriate safeguards, while recognizing that privacy laws and government-access rules may differ between countries.

How long information is kept

We keep information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service. Retention depends on the type of information, why it was collected, whether it remains sensitive, and legal, security, operational, backup, dispute, and limitation-period requirements.

After closure, deletion, a block, or a ban, we may retain limited account, report, moderation, message, block, security, consent, support, and audit records where reasonably necessary to protect members, prevent banned users from returning, investigate harmful conduct, comply with law, resolve disputes, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Data is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to backup-expiry cycles.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information and restrict administrative access. No online service or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur. Keep your account credentials private and contact us if you suspect a security issue.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing of, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to the privacy or data-protection authority responsible for your area.

Use profile and privacy settings for available self-service controls. For other requests, use our contact page. Signed-in members can also use Help & Feedback in the app. We may verify your identity, ask for enough information to locate the relevant data, refuse or limit a request where law permits, and retain information that we are legally allowed or required to keep.

Profile recommendations

ThaiCrush uses profile information, preferences, location choices, activity, and filters to select and order profiles or show compatibility information. These features help members discover people and do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Adults only

ThaiCrush is for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts. If we reasonably believe an account belongs to a minor, we may restrict or remove it and retain limited safety records where permitted by law. Contact us if you believe a minor is using the service.

Third-party data

Location data includes information from GeoNames (https://www.geonames.org/), licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). ThaiCrush filters and normalizes this data.

Changes and contact

We may update this Policy when the service, our practices, or applicable law changes. We will publish the revised effective date and provide additional notice where required. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through our contact page or, for signed-in members, through Help & Feedback in the app.
